Why Waste Cooking Oil?
Waste cooking oil is one of the most readily available and genuinely circular biofuel feedstocks. It is a waste product that would otherwise be disposed of, it requires no agricultural land, and converting it into biodiesel displaces fossil diesel with a fuel that reduces lifecycle CO₂ emissions by up to 80%. How It Works
Waste Oil to Biodiesel
Feedstock Collection
Waste cooking oil is collected from restaurants, food manufacturers, and catering operations — including mixed-quality oils with high free fatty acid content.
Pre-Treatment
The BioCore unit filters and conditions the feedstock, removing water and solid contaminants that would inhibit conversion.
AI-Catalysed Transesterification
Our novel heterogeneous catalyst — identified through AI screening of 4,200 candidates — reacts the oil with methanol at ambient temperature, achieving 98.7% conversion to biodiesel.
Separation & Quality Check
Biodiesel and glycerol by-product are separated. The biodiesel is tested against ASTM D6751 / EN 14214 standards before use or sale.
