Our Story
Built on a Simple Idea
Energy Core was founded on the belief that the energy transition would not be won by building bigger centralised infrastructure — but by putting the right machines in the right places, using the resources that are already there.
We started as a research team focused on the engineering challenges of small-scale renewable energy processing. Over time, that research became a product catalogue — machines for hydrogen, ethanol, wind, hydro, and cooking oil — each one designed to use whatever local resource a site already has.
Today, Energy Core machines are operating at sites across the UK and internationally. Every product in our catalogue is the direct result of research conducted by our own team, validated in the field, and produced by globally recognised manufacturing partners to the exacting standards our designs demand.

Renewable energy machines operate in industrial environments with real hazards — pressure, heat, electrical systems, and moving parts. We take that seriously at every stage.
HAZOP-Reviewed Designs
Every machine design undergoes a formal Hazard and Operability study before it reaches a manufacturing partner. We identify failure modes, assess consequences, and engineer safeguards in — not on.
Independent Third-Party Verification
We do not self-certify. Every unit is independently verified by accredited third parties before it leaves the production facility and before it is commissioned on site.
Site Risk Assessment
Before every installation, our engineers conduct a full site risk assessment — evaluating the local environment, access conditions, utility interfaces, and operational context.
Real-Time Monitoring & Safe-State Shutdown
Every deployed machine includes real-time performance and safety monitoring. If parameters move outside safe operating bounds, the system moves to a defined safe state automatically.

Chief Executive Officer
Sarah founded Energy Core after a decade in applied electrochemistry research. She leads the company's strategic direction and its partnerships with manufacturing and deployment partners globally.
James Whitfield
Chief Technology Officer
James oversees all machine design and R&D programmes. His background spans fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and industrial control systems — with a focus on making complex engineering commercially viable.
Dr Priya Nair
Head of Research
Priya leads Energy Core's internal research programmes across all five energy domains. She manages the pipeline from early-stage investigation through to validated machine design, ready for production.
Tom Brennan
Head of Manufacturing Partnerships
Tom manages Energy Core's relationships with its global network of manufacturing partners — ensuring every machine is produced to the tolerances and standards our designs require.

Head of Deployment & Commissioning
Amara leads the field engineering team responsible for site assessments, installation, commissioning, and ongoing support — across every geography where Energy Core machines are deployed.

Head of Safety & Compliance
Lena oversees all HAZOP reviews, third-party verification programmes, and regulatory compliance across Energy Core's product range and deployment regions.
